DOES ANY OF THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?

✓ You often feel so busy with everything else on your plate, that finances are swept under the rug

✓ You are ready to have less stress and anxiety around money, with a clear and effective plan of action
How I can help
-
If you are in the early stages of operating your own business, or considering starting a business, I can help. I will review your current situation and make sure you are off to a strong start, integrating your business plan into your personal financial plan and creating a tax and investment strategy that will support you and your business in the long run.
-
I will help you conduct a review of your income and expenses to determine where your money is going every month. You will learn about Passion Spending and Bucket Saving so that you can still enjoy your life while saving for your goals. We can develop a plan for eliminating high interest debt and help you prioritize your long list of savings goals.
-
I will figure out the amount needed to achieve college or other post-secondary education funding goals, along with advice on ways for you to save the desired amount. I will also review your financial picture as it relates to eligibility for financial aid, or the best way to contribute to children and grandchildren (if appropriate).
-
I will make sure you are taking the maximum advantage possible of your employee benefits. I provide review and analysis of life/disability/health insurance, employer sponsored retirement plans, and stock options to ensure your current plan or strategy is in alignment with your goals.
-
Having a plan will ensure that your assets will go to people or causes you care about after you pass. My role is to analyze your exposure to estate taxes and your current estate plan, which may include whether you have a will, powers of attorney, trusts, and other related documents. I always recommend that you consult with a qualified attorney when you initiate, update, or complete estate planning activities. I can provide you with contact information for attorneys who specialize in estate planning when you wish to hire an attorney for such purposes. I will participate in meetings or phone calls between you and your attorney with your approval or request.
-
I will help you discover what is most important to you, what your ideal life looks like, and how to connect your past to your current relationship with money. After that, we will identify your goals for the future (both short and long term), creating a Vision Board that will keep you motivated and on track. Once we’ve identified and prioritized what you plan to accomplish, we can determine what resources you need to make it happen, how much time you will need to reach the goal, and how much you should save. This can include everything from saving to buy a new car, to retirement planning.
-
I will help you figure out if you should be investing, how you should invest, and how much to invest depending on your financial goals and risk tolerance. I will review your current investments to make sure they align with your future vision, and don’t result in high fees or higher taxes. If changes need to be made, I can guide you through that process.
-
I will look for ways to minimize current and future income taxes as a part of your overall financial planning picture. This can include reviewing your tax returns, having conversations with your tax preparer (with your permission), and making recommendations on which type of account(s) or specific investments should be owned with tax efficiency in mind.

Ongoing Financial Planning
One way to ensure financial wellness is to have an accountability partner in your journey. To make sure you are staying on track to reaching your goals, I hold 2-3 formal in-person or virtual meetings in Winter, Summer and Fall. The content will differ depending on the time of year and your specific situation, but each meeting I will:
✓ Address immediate problems, concerns, or new hopes and dreams.
✓ Update your Vision and Financial Plan
✓ Distribute a progress report to show you how far you’ve come
✓ Recommend strategies to improve or maximize savings
✓ Evaluate investment accounts and asset allocation
✓ Identify tax saving opportunities
✓ Review and tweak your budget if needed
✓ Review your estate plan and insurance policies
✓ Discuss any debts or loans and repayment strategies
